Kālī (/ˈkɑːli/; Tamil: காளி; Sanskrit: काली & Bengali: কালী; IPA: [kɑːliː]), also known as Kālikā (Sanskrit: कालिका), is the Hindu goddess associated with empowerment, or shakti. She is the fierce aspect of the goddess Durga. The name of Kali means black one and force of time, she is therefore called the Goddess of Time, Change, Power, Creation, Preservation, and Destruction.
The Muse says….
KALI – THE WILD DARK GODDESS
She comes
Disguised, disgusted
Breaking through
Angry, dark, jealous
Goddess of Freedom.
Feminine Power
Wounded
Dying to come roaring
Full force
Out of Nothing.
Creative destroyer
Dancing the endless cycle of
Violence
Birth, death and re-birth.
She comes
Whirling out of darkness
Slicing, cutting
Wielding her swords of Truth.
Kali
Mother of ALL
Dark Wild One
Preparing the charnel ground
She comes.
